F as in Fat: Study Shows Minnesota's Kids need Physical Education

Minnesota Youth 30th Most Overweight, up from 47th in 2007! According to a new report by Trust for America's Health (TFAH), our children are healthier than most, but we have a ways to go! Check out the report for more information about the obesity rates in Minnesota-- and what could be causing them!

In 2003, the Minnesota Legislature abolished the graduation requirement for physical education. Tell your state legislators, Governor and Education Commissioner Seagren this issue is important to you!

The Fit Kids Act website can provide you with more info about our federal efforts.
